Oklahoma City – Kamron Neal of Oklahoma Panhandle State and Elijah Tocabens of Texas Wesleyan earned this week’s Sooner Athletic Conference Oklahoma Ford Dealers Men’s Track and Field Athletes of the Week for their efforts during the period ending March 17, 2024, as announced by the conference office Tuesday morning.
Neal was outstanding at the West Texas Spring Break Open as he garnered points for the Aggies by placing in a pair of events. Neal claimed sixth place in the 100-meter dash with a time of 10.65 and then grabbed second place in the 200-meter dash with a mark of 21.14.

Tocabens set school records and new personal bests in both the men’s shot put and the men’s hammer at the University of North Texas Bill Schmidt Classic. Tocabens placed third overall in the men’s shot with a mark of 15.14m (49’ 8”), which leads the SAC. He also placed 12th in the men’s hammer with a new personal best of 31.58m (103’ 7”), which is also tops in the SAC.
